URL redirection services

Back in dot-com heydays, there are many URL redirection sites such as V3 from FortuneCity, which is still around today. Now those sites have been transformed into better and sophisticated so-called “URL shortening”.

I was using one just now, which prompted me to post this. Since there are so many similar sites out there, the list here is only for those with fast and clean Web 2.0 design style. Mashable and Simple Spark carry an even longer list.

  • DwarfURL, my favorite URL redirection service
  • LinkBlip, built with notification service
  • RubyURL, goodness comes in red
  • MooURL, cute website design
  • TubeURL, personalized address
  • ShortenURL, clean and plain
  • URLTea, smooth sips of decanted web addresses
  • SnipURL, URL redirection with the whole nine yard
  • PiURL, Pi equals to 3.14
  • MemURL, spellable short address
  • Yep, yep it!
  • Shorl, shorlify your URL
  • Bit.ly, comes with extra advance features
  • Shrinkify, with an awesome FireFox plugin
  • Qurl, redirection and reporting
  • FupiURL, because sushi is from Japan
  • Rlinkr, web 2.0 all the way
  • urlBeach, because yellow means summer
  • QurlyQ, comes with a bookrmarklet
